Marilyn was born on February 28,1937 in Highland Park, MI to parents Elmer & Genivieve Hazel.
She is survived by husband Robert, daughter Lori Drogosh (Doug) and son Robert Elliott (Kari) and Grandchildren Daniel Drogosh (Amanda), Peter Drogosh (Addie), Robbie Elliott and Matthew Elliott. She is also survived by her sister Janet Lefstad (Richard) along with Nephew Greg Lefstad (Kenza) and niece Debbie Livermore (Gary). Also, nephews Gere Hazel, Paul Hazel and David Hazel.
Marilyn graduated from Grace Hospital Nursing School affiliated with Wayne State University. She worked as an RN for over 30 years. She enjoyed camping with family and friends and loved gardening and landscape painting for years.
As a Grandmother she and Bob attended music concerts & recitals, soccer games, track meets and sailing races of her 4 grandsons. Many summers were spent at their cottage on Higgins Lake. In retirement, Marilyn & Bob spent the winters in Fort Myers Beach, Florida where she enjoyed bike riding and trips to the beach.
She will be truly missed by all her family and friends.
Family & friends are invited to a celebration of life service that will take place at Nardin Park United Methodist Church located at 29887 W Eleven-mile rd. Farmington Hills, MI 48336 on Friday June 12th with visitation time with family at 10:00 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am in the church Sanctuary.
